McLean @ Yorktown Field Hockey (28 Aug 2013)

The McLean Highlanders field hockey teams won all three games against the Yorktown Patriots on Wednesday at Yorktown's Greenbrier Field. Scores: freshman 2-0, JV 1-0 and varsity 7-1. Bishop O'Connell Varsity Girls Soccer featured on MaxPreps

Congratulations to the Bishop O'Connell varsity girls soccer team, which was featured on MaxPreps as one of only ten girls teams in the nation "with solid soccer traditions that will battle it out for consideration as the top team in the land." Fortunately, I had the pleasure of photographing the team for this feature story. I've uploaded two galleries: 1) photos retouched and submitted to MaxPreps and 2) the remaining, un-retouched shots from the photo session.

Three big-time star players have moved on after graduating, but there is a stable of players back who already know about the history and success the program is famous for.
