Wakefield @ Washington-Lee Varsity Baseball (8 Apr 2014)

Arlington @ Prince William U15A Boys Lacrosse (5 Apr 2014)

It was another early start for the U15A boys team from the Arlington Youth Lacrosse Club (AYLC) as they headed to Veterans Memorial Park in Woodbridge, VA, on Saturday morning to play the Prince William Royals. The early starts aren't agreeing with the boys as they had a difficult time maintaining possession of the ball and as a result were given a clinic by the Royals and their coach, Corinne Wessels, who is a standout senior lacrosse player for Osbourn Park High School. The Washington-Lee Generals were host to the Herndon Hornets boys lacrosse teams on Monday evening and victories being split between the JV (Herndon 9, W-L 2) and Varsity (W-L 12, Herndon 8) teams.

Arlington @ Spotsylvania U15A Boys Lacrosse (29 Mar 2014)

The U15A boys team from the Arlington Youth Lacrosse Club (AYLC) made an early morning trip to play Spotsylvania at the Fredericksburg Field House in Fredericksburg, VA. The AYLC team had a 2-0 lead in the morning fog, but the Spotsylvania Ravens came back as the rain fell to secure a 8-4 victory. (Photo Gallery)

Youth Ultimate League of Arlington Invite (22-23 Mar 2014)

The combined Yorktown High School and HB-Woodlawn Secondary Program Girls JV Ultimate team played at the Youth Ultimate League of Arlington (YULA) Invite at Long Bridge Park in Arlington, VA.

Park View @ Washington-Lee Boys Soccer (10 Mar 2014)

The Park View Patriots visited the Washington-Lee Generals on a beautiful Monday afternoon for a pre-season scrimmage in boys soccer. I was at the school again to take yearbook photos in support of Victor O'Neill Studios, and was able to get a few extra photos to post.

The St. John's College Cadets visited the Washington-Lee Generals for a cold, pre-season scrimmage in girls lacrosse on Friday night. Yorktown @ Washington-Lee JV Ice Hockey (24 Jan 2014)

The Yorktown Patriots and Washington-Lee Generals junior varsity ice hockey teams played on Friday night at the Kettler Iceplex in Arlington, and the Generals bested the Patriots 10-0 in a cross-town rivalry game. (Photo galleries: DMVpix or MaxPreps)

Washington-Lee @ Yorktown Basketball (10 Jan 2014)

The Yorktown Patriots swept their cross-town rivals, the Washington-Lee Generals, in basketball action on Friday night. The Patriots girls won 39-35 (Freshman), 29-28 (JV) and 61-31 (Varsity), while the boys won 49-47 (Freshman), 48-46 (JV) and 60-52 (Varsity).

The Generals were able to celebrate a significant milestone though. Jonah Sens, a senior forward, reached 1,000 career points in the first quarter after sinking two free throws. The game was momentarily stopped (photo below) and the ball was awarded to Sens, who gave it to his father in the stands.

JV Wrestling @ Marshall (9 Jan 2014)

The George C. Marshall Statesmen hosted a JV wrestling meet on Thursday night, which was attended by Falls Church Jaguars, Washington-Lee Generals, West Springfield Spartans, W.T. Woodson Cavaliers and Potomac Panthers.

Yorktown Ends Washington-Lee Gymnastics Streak (8 Jan 2014)

The Yorktown Patriots took first place overall in a home varsity gymnastics meet on Wednesday night, ending the Washington-Lee Generals four-year winning streak in regular-season matches. The Generals finished second, followed by the Madison Warhawks, Edison Eagles and Wakefield Warriors.
