The Washington-Lee Generals brought a Yorktown Patriots' twelve game win streak to an end in Varsity volleyball action on Tuesday night. The Generals defeated the visiting Patriots three sets to one in front of a raucous home crowd. Each of the sets was close (26-24, 20-25, 25-22, 25-21), which added to the evening's excitement.
Earlier in the evening, the Freshman and JV teams split victories, with the Freshman Generals winning 2-1 and the JV Patriots winning 2-0 (25-14, 25-21).
