boys' varsity basketball team celebrated senior night with a convincing 71-45 victory over the visiting
Washington-Lee Generals
on Friday night in Arlington. This is the Patriots second victory over the Generals this year following a narrow 47-46 victory earlier in the season at Washington-Lee.

girls' varsity basketball team celebrated senior night with a 36-33 victory over the visiting
Washington-Lee Generals
on Friday night in Arlington. With only seconds remaining in the game, Washington-Lee recovered a Yorktown turnover and tied the game at 33 on a basket by Kierra Nelson. Yorktown quickly moved the ball down court and found senior Ellen Nye open in the corner, where she made a buzzer beating 3-point short for the win.
