Slow Start but Big Finish for DeMatha against Good Counsel (10 Nov 2013)

The DeMatha Catholic Stags beat the Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons in a varsity football WCAC semifinal game at University of Maryland's Byrd Stadium on Sunday. The Stags were held scoreless until the end of the 3rd quarter and tied the game 8-8 on a 2-pt conversion. In the fourth quarter, the Falcons scored first but failed to convert on the point after attempt. With 6:11 remaining, the Stags pulled ahead 15-14. Both teams scored again with DeMatha forcing the game into overtime. The Stags secured the 29-28 win when the Falcons' 2-pt conversion failed.
